Bienvenidos a Lugo

Bienvenidos a Lugo, Welcome to Lugo!

I have been in Lugo officially for a week now! The first few days were hard, because I am the only American on my team, but I have been able to adjust very quickly. I have one teammate that can speak english her name is Miriam. She translates for me from time to time but mostly they just throw me into the water and let me swim, you know what I mean? Most of the time I am in practice or weightlifting and there is no one explaining anything to me in English. I listen real hard to see if i can catch a few words or phrases that i might understand. I understand a little more now.

My experience here in Lugo is very interesting, I dont have a car, so for the most part I walk but everything is really close. Thank God! Its not like the big city of Madrid or Barcelona where you must walk and catch trains everywhere or bus, im so glad because I would be lost without a doubt. Tomorrow is our first friendly game (exhibition). I hope it goes well.

The food here is different but its good. The ingredients are very rich and i have not had much fat or suga in my diet since i been here. I cooked chicken with olive oil i dont think most people fry food with olive oil, well i wouldnt know because i dont cook much of anything anyways. The only fatty thing i have had is some ice cream bars even those are not so fatty. The hamburgers are big but they are still very healthy looking and the bacon is thick but its pretty healthy too. For all people having trouble with their weight in the States i recommend coming to live here for a month you will solve your weight problems very quickly.

Well thats all for today. Well talk tomorrow.
Thank You for stepping into the
Erod Experience!
Chow
